Rivets - Open, Close, Pop, Multigrip, Structural, SS, MS, GI, Brass - Dealers/Manufacturers in Chennai

Amaan Enterprises are leading blind rivets fasteners manufacturer, stockist, distributor and dealer. Our clientele includes major industries such as power plants, cement, automotive and constructions. POP rivets are used to connect two pieces of material in a quick efficient manner with a hand riveter or pneumatic rivet gun. They are tubular and comprised of a hat and mandrel; the length of the mandrel is snapped off when installed. The hat and mandrel can also be made by the same material or a combination of two materials. Rivets are measured in installed grip range and length.Amaan Enterprises deals in Rivet like Blind, Domed Open End, Closed End, Countersunk, Large Flange Open End, Multi Grip and Structural Rivets.

Open End Rivets

Open End Rivets

Open End Rivets or Dome head rivets are mainly used in applications where there is no access to the rear (blind side) of the joint. Domed head rivets are the most common type of rivets. Rivets have a two piece construction; one is called the rivet hat and mandrel. Both the hat and mandrel are pre-assembled and ready to use. Dome head rivets are installed by using a riveting tool to draw the mandrel which causes the body to deform and clamp down on the joint. Upon reaching the designed clamping force, the mandrel snaps and is discarded. The mandrel side of the rivet, once the mandrel is removed, will leave the domed head exposed.

Closed End Rivets

Closed End Rivets

Closed End Rivets differ from a standard blind pop rivet due to their closed end which creates a watertight seal. Closed end rivets are used to attach materials quickly and efficiently. These rivets also boast a higher tensile strength than regular pop rivets. Closed End Pop Rivets are often referred to as sealed blind rivets, or sealing rivets because they create a watertight seal when installed properly, making them a popular item in the boating and automotive industries. Closed end pop rivets also provide a complete mandrel retention which gives the sealed rivet a higher tensile strength and can be important in electronic and electrical applications.

Flat Rivets

Flat Rivets

Flat Rivets are used to connect two pieces of material quickly and efficiently. The hat of the rivet is almost inverted, with a 120 degree countersink in the integrated washer. A countersunk rivet is used in countersunk holes and once set is flush to the surface. They are used in tracks where the head will not protrude into sliding tracks or rollers. Flat rivets have standard open ends. They are tubular, comprised of a hat and mandrel. When installed, the length of the mandrel is snapped off. Both the hat and mandrel are made of the same material.

Large Flange Pop Rivets

Large Flange Pop Rivets

Large flange pop rivets have a larger washer on the hat than standard POP Rivets. They are used to connect two pieces of material in quick, efficient way. Large flange POP Rivets are tubular, comprised of a hat and mandrel; the length of the mandrel is snapped off when installed. The larger washer allows the pressure of the rivet to be spread out over a greater surface area. Commonly used on softer materials where installation can damage the material or pull-though is likely to occur.

Tri-Fold Rivets

Tri-Fold Rivets

Tri Bulb Rivets are a special kind of rivet. They are often referred to as exploding rivets due to the way they expand, and also tri tite, bulb tite, and olympic rivets. These rivets have three notches cut into the body of the rivet. They are installed much like a pop rivet, using a riveter to pull the mandrel towards the hat. As the mandrel is pulled in towards the hat, the three sections bend forming three legs. These three legs hold tightly onto the installation surface. Tri-fold rivets break off at the head much like a typical pop rivet will. Bulb rivets come in many varieties. Weather tight bulb rivets come with an attached EDPM (rubber) washer set at the base of the hat. When installed these hats push the washer into the pre-drilled hole forming a watertight seal.

Multi Grip Rivets

Multi Grip Rivets

Multi Grip Rivets can substitute conventional rivets in applications where the thickness of the riveted material varies. One Multi Grip Rivet has the grip range of different rivet sizes. This grip range allows for flexibility in design and a lower rivet inventory, as one size of multi grip rivet can be suitable for a variety of jobs, including mismatched holes. Each rivet can be used as an equivalent for at least three different rivet sizes. Multi-Grip Pop Rivets are available in Aluminum alloy. The hat and mandrel are both either Aluminum, or Aluminum with a steel mandrel. Aluminum is commonly used because it is significantly less expensive, however it does not offer the same level of durability as stainless steel.

Structural Rivets

Structural Rivets

Structural Rivets create a stronger assembly than standard stainless steel pop rivets, because of the amount of force that they generate. Structural rivets are used to connect two pieces of material in a quick and efficient way. They are tubular, comprised of a hat and mandrel; the length of the mandrel is snapped off when installed. Interlock Pop Rivets are available in 302 Stainless Steel which is considered the industry standard because of its corrosion resistant qualities.
